The Johannesburg Expo Centre is one the biggest multi purpose
complexes of its kind in South Africa and is the leading venue
for Exhibitions, Conferences and Events.
Of the 51 hectare site, over
42,000 sqm is interlinked, indoor exhibition
space. In
addition to this, the site offers ample outdoor display areas
that are enhanced by a lake, outdoor arenas, landscape gardens
and parking for 25,000 cars.
Above all this, the centre
numerous conference and breakaway
facilities as well as an
in-house caterer that provides for all palates, including
Halaal.


All exhibition halls are equipped with a sprinkler system, as
well as the infrastructure
to install public address
systems. The halls are also fully serviced via floor ducts
with electricity, water, telephone and fax lines.
The halls can accommodate
exhibitions of any size and nature and the facilities provide
for rapid build-up and breakdown activities.
The halls are arranged in
groups - interlinked with the Black Eagle and Bateleur
conference rooms, restaurants, toilet and other facilities, thus
making Expo Centre the perfect venue for exhibitions
and
conferences to be held simultaneously. A glassed-in area
between Halls 5 and 6 provides an ideal facility for the
registration of visitors to major trade exhibitions and
conferences.


Conferences facilities can accommodate any number of delegates
from 10 to 1000.
A smaller conference
facility. Function Room 1 and 2 situated in the main admin
building
next to the Main Arena, can seat up to 120 delegates.
The Auditorium, which seats 600
delegates, has permanent theatre-style seating on a circular
sloped floor and is situated in the Clubhouse complex.
It
has direct access to a private foyer as well as additional areas
to facilitate
registration and the serving of refreshments.


From fast-food outlets to sophisticated
Banqueting catering,
even "in-hall" catering, the Expo Centre offers a wide
range, operated in-house for all preferences, palates and
pockets.


The Expo Centre is the ideal venue for a variety
of outdoor and
indoor activities - which include anything from music concerts
and mass displays to equestrian events, marathons, company fun
days, indoor sports and memorable weddings.
The large Main Arena can
accommodate at least 15 000 people.
The indoor Auditorium offers
tiered seating for 600 people.

The Expo Centre has its own Helipad and is also situated next to
the NASREC train station, so not only is access to the centre
easy. It also boasts parking for 25,000 cars at any given
time.
South Africa’s
most
professional exhibition design and display
experts can be
contracted to provide exhibitors with all the services they
require. These range from electrical
and shell scheme
requirements, carpeting, water supply and furniture hire to
flowers, indoor plants, security, telephones and cleaning
services.
The Expo Centre is a self
sufficient mini city with telecommunication services ample
electricity supply, water and communication links mainly
services through floor ducts and underground funnels which
ensure that the Centre can accommodate any event or major
exhibition.
