Plumari
Africa formally accredited
with a BEE level 2 rating

Feb 2007
Plumari
Africa is delighted to announce that it was today formally accredited
with a BEE level 2 rating (out of nine possible levels with level 1
being the highest). This means that any client earns BEE status
points at 125% of their spend at Plumari. The company had recently
completed the implementation of a plan to ensure its structure, staffing
and operations were in line with best practice for BEE. The vast
majority of its staff are local black citizens and in only three years
certain staff have already been re-skilled, trained and promoted to
management positions. Further the company’s lodges are situated
in poor rural communities and this has emphasized the desire to assist
black entrepreneurs, charities and local schools and groups wherever
possible. Such efforts have been recognized by the accreditation
of a level 2 BEE compliant enterprise. Director
Peter Cossey
commented “ We are clearly delighted with this accreditation. We
have always felt a strong sense of responsibility to uplift our local
community in the Magaliesburg region and we strongly support the
principles of BEE as promulgated by government. The level 2 rating
confirms our commitment in these areas and is a pleasing reward for our
team that has worked so hard in this regard".
Plumari
Africa offers clients Plumari Game Lodge and Warthogs Bush Lodge, both
rated 4 stars by TGCSA and situated in the Magaliesberg an hour from JHB
or PTA. Plumari Game Lodge has 18 chalets and boasts four of the
big five with Lions due 2007 to make the Big 5. Also available are
Elephant Experiences. Warthogs with 10 chalets specializes in
extensive teambuilding activities.
