Accommodation comprises 213 stone-build thatched rooms, all elegantly furnished to compliment the indigenous surroundings.

The new leisure area houses 2 swimming pools (including a dedicated children’s pool), a fully equipped gym, private lounge, games room and the magical Peregrine Castle kiddie’s play ground. Set in an idyllic location overlooking the Cradle of Humankind, suspended day beds and a variety of sunbathing options encourage rest and relaxation. A beverage and light meal service is available throughout the day. Newly appointed resident manager Mr Charles Lamb is on site to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The restaurant, adjacent to the Misty Hills Country Hotel, is set in lush indigenous gardens, overlooking the Krugersdorp Hills.
Enter the unique Carnivore restaurant over a teak walkway surrounded by indigenous gardens, water features and a moat, into an entrance hall boasting a magnificent carved door clad in giant bamboo reeds and African art works.

The Carnivore was opened in November 1993 with 180 seats however due to incredible demand the restaurant has undergone three expansions and now seats up to 550 people.

The centre piece of the restaurant is a large circular fire area with 52 spits and a 5.3 metre diameter extractor fan. The spits, which are, converted Masaai tribal swords hold the wide variety of meats, which are charcoal, grilled and brought to your table.

The African theme is carried through into the restaurant where a circular fire is the central attraction with 52 converted Masaai tribal spears holding a variety of 10 different types of meats such as pork, lamb, beef, chicken ribs, sausages and a variety of game meats such as crocodile, zebra, giraffe, impala, ostrich etc, gently roasting and waiting for you to begin your feast!!

Carvers carve directly onto a very hot cast iron plate which is placed in front of you and you may eat as much as you wish. When you have had enough, you “surrender” by lowering a flag on your table!

All items are delivered to your table starting with homemade soup and bread, pap and chakalaka, six sauces and six salads, the meats and followed by a choice of six desserts, tea and coffee.

The North West Province offers everything a tourist could want and prides itself on its hospitality. It exists within the transition zone between the dry Kalahari and wetter Lowveld vegetation, commonly referred to as "Bushveld". Given the natural bushveld vegetation that covers the entire area coupled with the added attraction of the Magaliesberg mountain range, this region has much to offer the eco-tourist. It is a natural game area with a number of fine game parks, where it is still possible to capture the solitude and stillness associated with nature. The climate is very pleasant all year round with mild winters and warm to hot summers.
With the abundance of natural water resources available, our dams are well stocked with an abundance of fish. Relax and enjoy our beautiful surroundings as you test your fishing skills. You can 'catch and keep' or 'catch and release' the ones that didn't get away!

Kedar Country Hotel and Conference Centre is situated in the foothills of the Pilanesberg Mountains, only 15mins from Sun City and 20km from Rustenburg. Kedar promises a peaceful setting for business meetings, training or teambuilding exercises. Even with a relatively small group, one could enjoy exclusivity at the lodge.
